Principal Message
Dear Aspirants,

A new academic session brings with it new hopes, renewed energy, and fresh resolutions. It gives me immense pleasure and pride to assume the responsibility as the Principal of this esteemed institution – Govt. Gundadhur Postgraduate College, Kondagaon, a reputed and well-known higher education center in Bastar division.

It is heartening to note that the college has recently been accredited with a 'B' grade and a CGPA of 2.32 by NAAC, reflecting its steady progress in quality education. Furthermore, the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 marks a new milestone in our commitment to holistic and multidisciplinary education.

With over 1200 students, the college thrives on Education Empowerment and Quality Learning. Various dynamic bodies and cells like the Women Cell, Anti-Sexual Harassment Cell, Placement Cell, Career Guidance Cell, and Anti-Ragging Committee actively work to ensure a secure, encouraging, and career-oriented environment for all students, especially those from SC/ST/OBC/BPL & minority backgrounds, with access to scholarships and other support systems.
We take immense pride in our recent academic achievements:
The college now has recognized research centers in five departments: Sociology, History, Economics, Commerce, and Chemistry.
Four Assistant Professors have been formally appointed as Research Supervisors, guiding research scholars toward knowledge creation and innovation.
A notable number of students have successfully cleared NET and SET examinations, adding to our academic pride. 

Our dedicated faculty continuously motivate students to engage in research activities, interdisciplinary learning, and innovation. The emphasis on personality development, improvisation, and global educational standards ensures that our students are not only educated but also empowered to contribute meaningfully to society.

Infrastructure development is also a priority. The Science Block and New Block provide a green and pollution-free academic atmosphere. The Central Library is being automated, and development work on the Indoor Stadium and Sports Ground is underway. The Girls' Hostel, although with limited capacity, is operational and will soon expand to accommodate girls from remote and tribal areas.
