VISION

·        To inculcate the habit of learning physics daily with fun and to expose the students to advances in Physical Sciences.

·        To impart quality education in physics to students so as they become globally competitive physicist. Effectively disseminate the physics knowledge to coming generations.

·        To create strong interest in physics so as students can further develop themselves through self-study.

MISSION

·        To foster a daily love for learning physics through engaging and enjoyable experiences, while providing students with exposure to the latest advancements in Physical Sciences. We aim to inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and a passion for discovery, preparing students for the future of scientific exploration.

·        To ignite a deep passion for physics by fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and hands-on exploration. We aim to empower students with the skills and resources for independent study, inspiring lifelong learning and innovation in the field.

The Department of Physics was established in 1984 along with the inception of college with undergraduate programme  B.Sc. in Mathematics stream.

All courses offered by the department are designed by highly intellectual members of  board of studies of Physics, Shaheed Mahendra Karma Vishwavidyalaya, Bastar, according to the needs and demands of current industrial sectors and to make the students competent at local and global level.

With our faculties, the department presently caters 180 UG.  Our faculty has specialized knowledge in different branches of Physics. Faculty members are active in educational sphere across the state and contribute to academic fields in various capacities like Board of Study member in university,  resource persons , etc.

Trying to facilitate the students of the rural area with real practical knowledge of the syllabi the faculty members are really trying hard to make it so. Equipped with instrumentation facility, UG laboratories, departmental library and ICT tools.

The department strives toachieve its prime objective - to produce and train technical and scientific personnel of the highest order of excellence having scientific aptitude.
